Becoming a member

If you would like to become a “Chapter Only” member, download and complete the APA application form. Write “Chapter Only” on the application, and submit with payment (membership dues for the HI chapter is $35.00). Checks should be made payable to American Planning Association.

Maintaining membership information

Membership data (e.g. email, employment information, etc) is maintained by APA National. To view or update your membership data, log into My APA at www.planning.org using your APA number.

Certification Maintenance for AICP Members

Certified planners have demonstrated their commitment to high standards of professional practice. The example they set daily in their work and in their communities enhances the credibility of the planning profession. AICP's new Certification Maintenance program gives certified planners another means of strengthening that credibility. The program will help planners gain the knowledge and skills necessary to remain current in the practice of planning and continue to demonstrate professional credibility through continuing education.
